My next-door neighbor has a tall, rough wood fence around his yard. I was running along the fence from my back yard toward the front of my house. I tripped, and my right hand was pressed firmly against the wood and slid all the way to the grass. This resulted in numerous large flints of wood being lodged into my palm. One piece that I extracted was near my smallest finger, and it was about the size of a lima bean. It appeared to be a decisively cut portion of a branch right at the area where it split off into multiple branches. This extraction, as well as the rest of the splinters, entailed much pain.
