I was getting ready to go to school one sunny morning. Since I was in a rush, I had to skip putting on my shoes and leave my book bag behind. Apparently this was years ago, because I had to ride on the school bus. A handful of people were with me in the back of the bus. One of them was Laura Radice. Corey was sitting behind me. After a while he was showing me his AAA card. It turns out that his AAA card was actually flat, folded pieces of caramel in plastic wrap. I took a bite out of one corner. Later, in my house, Corey told me he just got off the phone with the doctor, who had some bad news. He and his brother were going to suffer from massive spinal injuries. This was going to happen in either 10 hours or 10 months.

A dance contest was being held in a small auditorium or gymnasium. I was in the audience, but I could not hold myself back, and I went onto the stage and began dancing wildly. A handful of other audience members came up too. I felt like I was winning, but I never made it onto the first, second, and third place elevated platforms at the end. After everything was quieting down and people began leaving, one guy who was dancing very well told me that I was good. When I left, I had to go find my car in the parking lot. There were many parking lots. I seemed to be on a college campus. It was sunny and comfortable, with many curving sidewalks lined with trees. Some of the parking lots were actually serene lakes. Meandering around, I discovered that I had the ability to slide across the ground as though it was ice, and I would never slow down. I slid down the sidewalk and felt a bit weird as I passed an elderly couple staring at me. Still looking for my car, I eventually encountered a skinny girl who was my age. Her hair was blonde, and it barely came down to her neck. We were conversing for a while, and she mentioned that she weighs 90 something pounds. I had an old hardcover book, and I somehow discovered that this book gave me the ability to almost fly. You have to sit on it in mid air, and you can glide forward on it. You can never gain altitude, though, and if you start to lose confidence, the gliding will begin to falter. I was eventually able to get my confidence level high enough that I was able to glide off a ledge that dropped off, curve back around, and glide back onto the ledge. The blonde girl wanted to try, so I gave her the hardcover book. She opened the book and placed some papers into it. She left it open and tried flying for a bit. She gave it back to me, full of folded papers. When I tried flying, her modifications were severely detrimental to the book's flight performance. She and I were soon walking again. We were talking about the fact that we never told each other our names. This was making her laugh. She told me her full name. I only remember that her first name was Diane. I began to realize that she was strikingly reminiscent of Skulski's friend Jessica. I told her my first name.
