My teeth became noticeably enlarged and eventually began losing pieces, chipping away little by little. The problem was worst at my molars, and increasingly larger pieces were coming off. I had to keep spitting pieces into the bathroom sink. My molars seemed to be shedding millimeter-thick layers, similar to an onion. Occasionally, about 80% of a tooth came entirely out. One molar was made almost entirely of metal, which was very heavy in my hand and almost the size of a matchbox car. I feared my dentist's impending rage.
