I was standing in a bleak, cheap office-like single-floor facility, amidst a dirty industrial park city. It was 5 years in the future. There was nobody in this sad building except Karen. Her mind appeared to be almost entirely erased, and unknown authoritative figures were keeping her here, imprisoned. She did not recognize me. I had not seen her during these last 5 years. Apparently she had been taken away from me. She kept daily journals while she was gone, and she filled 5 notebooks that looked identical to my journals in reality. Rather, identical on the outside only. I flipped through the pages and, unlike my notebooks, Karen's daily entries were all different handwriting and ink color. I was deeply saddened by flipping through these pages, not even reading them. Sad because I was getting a glimpse of a recording of her life when she was taken away. Karen was in the room with me and did not speak. Her skin was pink and her hair had blonde in it.
